Shame.  A lot of the BAD movies had a good ensemble but they OVER ACTED so much and Sometimes the Bad movies could have been saved if they had just been a two hour movie rather than a four hour boring mini-series.

A


Joss Ackland's son, Paul, died from a heroin overdose on October 7, 1982. He was 30 years old. 

Actress Edie Adam's only biological daughter, Mia, died in a car accident on May 8, 1982.  She was 22 years old.  Adam's stepdaughter, Kippie, died on July 28, 2001 after a long illness.  She was 52.

Writer Isabella Allende's daughter, Paula, died from porphyria on December 6, 1992.  She was 29.

Actress Mary Anderson's only child, Anderson Shamroy, died at two months on July 1, 1956.

Neil Armstrong's daughter, Karen, was diagnosed with a tumor on her brain stem.  Due to radiation her health weakened and she died from pneumonia on January 28, 1962.  She was two years old.

Adele Astaire had a premature baby girl that died shortly after birth on October 8, 1933.  Two years later she gave birth to stillborn twin sons.  Those three were her only children.

Richard Attenborough's 49 year old daughter,  Jane, and 15 year old granddaughter, Lucy, were killed during the 2004 tsunami that hit Thailand, where they were vacationing.

Burt Bacharach and Angie Dickinson's daughter, Nikki, committed suicide on January 4, 2007.  She suffered from Asperger's Disorder.  She was 40.

Comedian Tony Baker's 21 year old son, Cerain Baker died in a car crash on August 3, 2021.  

Lynn Bari and Sidney Luft's baby daughter was born August 7, 1945.  She died shortly after.

Lionel Barrymore had two daughters, Ethel II (after his sister) born in 1908 and Mary born 1916.  Neither child lived passed infancy.

Singer Shirley Bassey's daughter, Samantha, drowned in 1985, after falling off a bridge.  Bassey has always maintained that her daughter did not commit suicide. She was 21.

Actor Sir Alan Bates' son, Tristan, died in 1990 of an asthma attack in Tokyo. He was 19 years old. 

Beverly Bayne's only child, Richard Bushman, killed himself in 1957.  He was in his 30s. 

Actress Belle Bennett's son, William Howard Macy, died in 1925.  He was 16 years old. 

Irving Berlin's son, Irving Jr. died from typhoid fever on December 25, 1928.  He was less than a month old.

President Joe Biden's one year old daughter, Naomi, was killed in a car accident on December 18, 1972.  (Biden's first wife was also killed in the crash.)  On May 30, 2015 Biden's son, Beau, died from a glioblastoma brain tumor.  He was 46 years old. 

Charles Boyer and Pat Paterson's only child, son, Michael, shot himself after a break-up on September 21, 1965.  He was 21 years old. (His mother would die of a brain tumor in 1978. Boyer committed suicide two days later on August 28, 1978.)

Marlon Brando's daughter, Cheyenne, was diagnosed as schizophrenic and hung herself on April 16, 1995.  She was 25.  His son Dylan died in 1988 at age 20.  

Pierce Brosnan's adopted daughter, Charlotte, died from ovarian cancer in 2013.  The same illness that claimed her mom and Brosnan's first wife's life.  She was 42.  (a year older than her mother was.)

Bobby Brown's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, (with the late Whitney Houston) was found unconscious in her bathtub (like her late mother).  Seven months later she was declared brain dead and died in hospice care on July 26, 2015.  She was 22 years old.  She was the only child of Whitney Houston.   

Carol Burnett's daughter, Carrie, died from brain cancer on January 20, 2002.  She was 38.

Tony Burton's son, Martin, died of a heart attack on May 8, 2014.  He was 43 years old. 

President George H.W. Bush's daughter, Pauline (Robin) died at age three from leukemia on October 11, 1953.

Francis X. Bushman's son, Richard, killed himself in 1957.  He was in his 30s. 

Koby Bryant and his 13 year old daughter, Gianna, died together in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020.  

Writer A.S. Byatt's son died in a car accident at the age of 11.

James Cagney's son, James Jr. died from a heart attack on February 1, 1984.  He was 44.

Jane Campion's first child, a son named Jasper was born in June 1993 but lived only twelve days.  

Nick Cannon's son, Zen, died at five months old from brain cancer on December 3, 2021.  Mother was model Alyssa Scott.  

Eddie Cantor lost his daughter, Marjorie, to cancer on May 17, 1959.  She was 44 years old.  

Frank Capra's son, John, died after having his tonsils removed on August 23, 1938.  He was three.

Orson Scott Card's son, Charles, died from cerebral palsy at age 17.  His daughter, Erin, died shortly after birth.

Actress Mary Carr lost her first son, William, in 1904.  He was two years old.  Her daughter, (Marie) Luella, died on January 16, 1917.  She was 37 years old.  Her son, John, died on November 27, 1956.  He was 52 years old.  Carr died in 1973, at age 99.  

Johnny Carson's son, Richard, died in a car accident on June 21, 1991. He was 39.

Dana Carvey's son, Dex, died from a drug overdose on November 15, 2023.  He was 32 years old. 

Charlie Chaplin's first child, Norman, was born on July 7, 1919. He was born with severe disabilities and lived only three days.  His son, Charles Jr. died from a blood clot in his lungs on March 20, 1968.  He was 42.

Duane Chapman infant son Zebediah died a month after his birth in 1980.  His daughter Barbara, died in a car accident on May 19, 2006.  She was 23 years old.  

Winston Churchill's two year old  daughter, Marigold, died from a throat infection in August 1921.  His daughter, Diana, committed suicide from a pill overdose on October 20, 1963.  She was 54. 

Eric Clapton's son, Conor, died from a fall out of his 53rd-floor apartment on March 10, 1991.  He was five.

Director Bob Clark ("A Christmas Story") and his 22 year old son, Ariel, were tragically killed by a drunk driver in 2007. 

Randall "Tex" Cobb's oldest son Bo Cobb died in a car accident on February 2, 2001.  He was 16 years old. 

Actor Dennis Cole's only child, a son named Joe, was shot during a robbery in December 1991. He was 30 years old.  His close friend, singer Henry Rollins was assaulted during the robbery. 

Judy Collins' only child, Clark, committed suicide in 1992.  He was 33.

Calvin Coolidge's son, Calvin Jr. died from blood poisoning on July 7, 1924. He was 16. (Coolidge's older son lived to be 93.)

Chris Cooper's son, Jesse, was born with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.  He died from his diseases on January 3, 2005.  He was 18. 

Jackie Cooper's daughter, Julie, died in 1997 from blunt force trauma to her head.  She was 40.  His other daughter, Cristina, died on November 7, 2009.  She was 50.

Francis Ford Coppola's son, Gian-Carlo, died in a boating accident on May 26, 1986.  He was 22. 

Ronnie Corbett lost his infant son Andrew in April of 1966.  He was born with a heart condition and died at 6 weeks old. 

Bill Cosby's son, Ennis, was shot and killed on January 16, 1997. He was 27.  His daughter, Ensa, died of renal failure on February 23, 2018. She was 44. 

Lou Costello's son, Lou Jr. drowned in their swimming pool in November 1943.  He was one.

Jacques Cousteau's son, Philippe, died in a boating accident on June 28, 1979.  He was 38 years old.

Mary Jane Croft's only child, Eric Zoller, died during the Vietnam war in 1967.  He was 23 years old. 

Cartoonist Robert Crumb's son, Jesse, died on December 31, 2017 in a car accident.  He was 49 years old. 

Tony Curtis' son, Nicholas, died from a heroin overdose on July 2, 1994.  He was 23.

Karl Dane's wife Helen Benson died along with the baby during childbirth on August 9, 1923.

Rick Danko's son Eli died on March 3, 1989, after a night of heavy drinking at college he choked on vomit and asphyxiated.  He was 17 years old.  

Royal Dano's son Royal Jr. died a month before him on February 25, 1994 from liver failure.  He was 47 years old. 

Charles Darwin's daughter, Anne, died at age ten from scarlet fever. He also lost two other child Mary and Charles Jr. in infancy.

Actor Jim Davis' only child, Tara Diane, died in a car accident on February 9, 1970.  She was 17 years old. 

Warwick Davis' first son, Lloyd, died shortly after birth in September 1991. 

Doris Day's only child, son Terry, died on November 19, 2004. He was 62.

Olivia de Havilland's son, Benjamin, died on October 1, 1991 from heart failure due to Hodgkin's disease.  He was 41.

Dino De Laurentiis' son, Federico, died in a plane crash on July 15, 1981.  He was 26 years old.

Actor Albert Dekker's 16 year old son, John, accidentally shot himself in April 1957.

Gerard Depardieu's son, Guillaume, died on October 13, 2008 from pneumonia.  He was 37.

Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd's 18 month baby girl, Diane, drowned in 1962.

Charles Dickens' daughter, Dora, died from convulsions on April 15, 1851.  She was eight months old. His son, Walter, died from an aortic aneurysm on December 31, 1863.  He was 22. 

Writer Joan Didion's only child, daughter, Quintana died from acute pancreatitis on August 26, 2005. She was 39.

Phyllis Diller's one son lived only a few days and died in 1945.  Her son, Peter, died from cancer in 1998.  He was 58.  Her daughter, Stephanie, died from a stroke in 2002. She was 54.  

Kirk Douglas' son, Eric, died from a drug overdose on July 6, 2004. He was 46.

Arthur Conan Doyle's son, Arthur Jr. (Kingsley) died from the Spanish influenza on October 28, 1918.  He was 25.

Isadora Duncan's six year old daughter Deirdre, and two year old son Patrick drown when a car they were in rolled into the Seine River on April 19, 1913.  Her third child, a son, died shortly after birth on August 13, 1914.  

Writer Lois Duncan's daughter, Kaitlyn, was shot in her car in New Mexico in 1989.  She was 18. 

Writer Dominick Dunne's daughter, Dominique, was murdered by her ex-boyfriend on November 4, 1982.  She was 22.  He also lost two daughters in infancy. 

Dr. Dre's son, Andre Jr. died on August 23, 2008 from a heroin drug overdose.  He was 20.

Director B. Reeves Eason's Son, B. Reeves Jr. was hit by a stunt truck while filming the silent film "The Fox." He died shortly after on October 25, 1921.  He was six years old.  

Actress Barbara Eden's only child, Matthew, died from a heroin overdose on June 25, 2001.  He was 35.

Albert Einstein's only daughter, Lieserl, died of scarlet fever in 1903. She was one. 

Dwight D. Eisenhower's son, Doud, died from scarlet fever on January 2, 1921.  He was three.

Cartoonist Will Eisner had a teenage daughter named, Alice, who died from leukemia in 1970.

Leif Erickson's son, Bill, died in a car accident in 1971. He was 25.

Singer, Melissa Etheridge's son, Beckett, died on May 13, 2020 from an opioid overdose.  He was 21 years old.

Mia Farrow has 12 adopted children (most with disabilities).  Her daughter, Tam, died in March 2000 from a heart ailment.  She was 19. Daughter, Lark, died in December 2008 after a long illness.  She was 35.

Federico Fellini's only child, a son named, Pier Federico, was born March 22, 1945.  He died a month later from encephalitis. 

Actress, Sylvia Field's only child, a daughter, Sally Moffet, died on May 8, 1995 from lung cancer. Field died three years later at 97 years old. 

Larry Fine, better known as Larry from the Three Stooges had a son, John, who died in a car accident on November 17, 1961.  He was 24 years old.

Errol Flynn's son, Sean Flynn, disappeared in Cambodia while on a job as a photographer for Time Magazine in 1970.  His body was never found and was declared dead. He was 28.

Henry Ford's only child, son, Edsel, died from stomach cancer on May 26, 1943.  He was 49.  Ford Sr. died four years later. 

George Foreman's daughter, Freeda, died on March 9, 2019 from suicide.  She was 42 years old.

Benjamin Franklin's daughter, Francis, died from small pox on November 21, 1736.  She was 4.  

Robert Frost lost four children.  His son, Elliott, died in 1904 at age eight from cholera.  His daughter, Elinor, died three days after being born in 1907.  His daughter Marjorie died from a fever after childbirth in 1934 at age 29, and his son, Carol, committed suicide in 1940 at age 38. 

Buckminster Fuller's four year old daughter, Alexandra, died from polio in 1922.

Zsa Zsa Gabor's only child, Constance Francesca Hilton, was born March 10, 1947.  She died from a stroke at age 67 in 2015. Gabor had dementia by then and was never informed of her daughter's death.

Actor John Garfield's daughter, Katherine, died on March 18, 1945 from an allergic reaction.  She was seven years old.

Actor George Gaynes' son, Matthew, died in a car crash in India in 1989.

Robert Geldof's daughter Peaches, died from a drug overdose on April 7, 2014.  She was 25 years old. 

Gordan Getty's son, Andrew, was found dead in his house on March 31, 2015.  Cause of death was intestinal bleeding and methamphetamine. He was 47 years old.

J. Paul Getty's son, George, died from a drug overdose at age 49 in 1973.  His son, Timothy, died at age 12 from a brain tumor in 1958. Getty was overseas on business when Tim died and did not come home for the funeral. His wife divorced him shortly after.

Actor Paul Michael Glaser's wife tragically got AIDS from a blood transfusion she needed after the birth of her daughter, Ariel, in 1981.  Ariel contracted the virus through her mother's breast milk.  Ariel died from the disease in 1988. She was seven.  (His wife died from the disease in 1995).

James Gleason and Lucile Webster's only child, son, Russell Webster, died on December 25, 1945 by falling out a window of a New York hotel while waiting to be deployed with this regiment to Europe. He was 37 years old. 

Eydie Gorme and husband Steve Lawrence lost their 23 year old son, Michael, to an undiagnosed heart condition.  

Actor Michael Gough's adopted daughter, Polly, was tragically killed in a car accident in 1982. Gough never told her she was adopted.  She was 19.

Actress Carol Grace's daughter, Lucy Saroyan, (daughter of author William Saroyan) died from liver failure brought on my Hepatitis C on April 11, 2003.  She was 57.  (Carol died 3 months later from a stroke.)

Kenneth Grahame's son, Alastair, walked in front of a train on May 7, 1920.  He was 19.

Andy Griffith's son, Andrew Jr. died from alcoholism on January 17, 1996. He was 37.

Guccio Gucci had a son, Enzo, who died at age nine.

Rodolfo Gucci had a son, Maurizio, who was shot and killed on March 27, 1995.  He was 46.

Writer John Gunther's daughter, Judy, died as an infant in 1929.  His son, Johnny, died from a glioblastoma, brain tumor on June 30, 1947.  He was 17 years old.  

Woody Guthrie's four year old daughter, Cathy Ann, died in a fire in 1947.  His son, Bill, died when his car crashed with a train in 1962.  He was 23.  (many of his other children died young, after his death). 

Fred Gwynne's son, Dylan, drowned in the family's pool as a child in 1963.

Taylor Hackford's son, actor Rio Hackford died from optical cancer on April 14, 2022. He was 51. 

Steve Harwell's 6 month old son, Presley, died from leukemia on July 28, 2001. 

Helen Hayes' daughter, Mary, died on September 22, 1949 from polio at age 19.

Actor Leland Hayward's 21 year old daughter, Bridget, overdosed on sleeping pills on October 17, 1960.  This was just eleven months after her mother (Leland's ex wife) actress Margaret Sullivan committed suicide the same same way.  (Leland died in 1971 but his son from Margaret also committed suicide in 2008.)

John Heard's son, Max, died on December 6, 2016 at age 22. Heard, himself died 6 months later.

Leona Hemsley lost her only child, Jay Panzirer, from heart failure in 1982.  He was 42. She left most of her fortune to her dog and no grandchildren.

Hotelier Conrad Hilton Sr.'s son, Conrad Jr. died of a heart attack on February 5, 1969.  He was 42 years old.

In 1988, Illustrator Holly Hobbie's daughter, Brett, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. At that time she was 23 years old. She died three years later.

Actress Gloria Holden's only child, Christopher, died in an automobile accident in 1970. He was 26 years old.

Actress Libby Holman's son, Christopher, died while mountain climbing on August 7, 1950. He was 18 years old.  He was believed to be the son of tobacco heir Zachary Smith Reynolds.  

Actor Taylor Holmes' son, Phillips, died in a plane crash in 1942.  He was 35. His other son, Ralph, committed suicide after returning from war in 1945.  He was 30. 

Lena Horne's son, Edwin, died from kidney disease on September 12, 1970.  He was 30.

L. Ron Hubbard's son, Quentin, committed suicide on November 12, 1976.  He was 22 years old.

Poet, Ted Hughes' lover, Assia Wevill, killed herself and their daughter four year old daughter, Alexandra, by carbon monoxide poisoning on March 23, 1969.  She was depressed over Hughes' multiple affairs.

Victor Hugo out lived all his children except one. His son, Leopold, died on October 10, 1823 at just three months.  His daughter, Leopoldine, drowned on September 4, 1843.  She was 19.  His son, Charles, died on March 13, 1871.  He was 45.  His son, Francois-Victor, died on December 26, 1873.  He was 45.

Actress Marsha Hunt's only child, a daughter, was born premature on July 1, 1947.  She died the next day.

Businessman George Huntington Hardford II had an illegitimate son Edward Barton from a dancer in 1938.  He financially supported the boy but refused to legally acknowledge him as a son.  Edward shot himself to death in 1967.  He was 29 years old.  From his second marriage he had a daughter named Catherine who died from a drug overdose in June of 1988.  She was 38 years old.  

Barbara Woolworth Hutton's only child (from her seven marriages), Lance Reventlow, died in a plane crash on July 24, 1972.  He was 36 years old.  She died in 1979.

Jill Ireland and David McCallum's  adopted son, Jason McCallum, died from an accidental drug overdose on November 7, 1989.  He was 26.  Ireland died from cancer six months later.

Stonewall Jackson's first wife and baby died during child birth on October 22, 1854.  

Jennifer Jones' daughter, Mary, jumped from a 20th floor window on May 11, 1976. She was 22.

Actor Louis Jourdan's one and only child, Louis Henry, committed suicide by drug overdose at age 29 in 1981.

Actress Katy Jurado's son, Victor Hugo, died in a car accident in Mexico in 1981.

Sally Kellerman's daughter, Hannah, died of a drug overdose on October 23, 2016.  Three months after her father's death.  She was 27 years old.  

John F. Kennedy's son, Patrick, died two days after his birth on August 9, 1963.

Rose Kennedy lost her son Joseph Jr in a naval aircraft explosion on August 12, 1944.  He was 29 years old.  Her daughter Kathleen died in a plane crash on May 13, 1948.  She was 28 years old.  Her son John was assassinated on November 22, 1968.  He was 46.  Her son Robert was assassinated on June 6, 1968.  He was 42 years old. 

Ken Kesey's son, Jed, was killed in a car crash in 1984.  He was 20.

Ford Kiernan's 12 year old son, Sonny, choked to death on January 6, 2014.

Larry King's adopted son and only daughter both died in August 2020.  His son, Andrew, died from a heart attack at age 65.  His daughter, Chaia, died from lung cancer at age 51. King died six months later. 

Regina King's son and only child, Ian Alexander Jr. committed suicide on January 22, 2022.  He was 26 years old. 

Screenwriter Jenji Kohan's son, Charlie Noxon, died in a skiing accident on December 31, 2019.  He was 20 years old.

News anchor Bill Kurtis' son, Scott, died at the family's cattle ranch on July 20, 2009 at age 38.  He was suffering from multiple psychological disorders.

Harold Kushner lost his son Aaron on November 17, 1977 from a rare disease called progeria, which makes the body age rapidly.  He was 14 years in age but psychically in his 60s.

Madeleine L'Engle's son, Bion, died on December 17, 1999 from liver failure due to alcoholism.  He was 47.

Veronica Lake's son, Anthony, was born prematurely on July 8, 1943.  He died days later on July 15, 1943.

Jack LaLanne's stepdaughter, Janet, died in a car accident in 1974.  She was 21. 

Stan Laurel's only son, Stanley Jr. died nine days after being born in 1930.

Actor George Lazenby's son, Zachary, died from brain cancer in 1994. He was 20.

Cloris Leachman's son, Bryan, died from a drug overdose on February 25, 1986.  He was 30.

Timothy Leary's 42 year old daughter, Susan, hung herself on September 5, 1990.

Stan Lee's daughter, Jan, died three days after her birth in 1953.

Annie Lennox gave birth to a stillborn son, Daniel, in December of 1988.

Writer Doris Lessing's two sons John (1939-1990's) and Peter (1947-2013) predeceased her.  She died at age 94 in 2013.

Jerry Lewis' son, Joseph, died on October 24, 2009 at age 45 from a drug overdose.

Jerry Lee Lewis' three year old son, Steve, drowned in swimming pool in 1962.  His 19 year old son, Jerry Lee Lewis Jr. died in an automobile accident in 1973.

Sinclair Lewis' son Wells (named after H.G. Wells) died during his service in WWII.  He was 27. 

Abraham Lincoln's son, Edward, died in 1850 at the age of three from tuberculous.  His son, William, died in 1850 from typhoid fever at age 11.

Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh's baby boy, Charles Jr. was kidnapped and killed in March 1932. Anne lived to be 94 so she lived through the loss of their daughter, Anne, from cancer in 1993.  She was 53. 

Writer Art Linkletter's daughter, Diane, jumped to her death on October 4, 1969. She was 20.

Lois Lowry's son, Donald Grey Jr. died in a military fighter plane crash in 1995.  He was 36 years old.  She speaks about his death in her book "Looking Back". 

U. S. Ambassador,  Clare Boothe Luce's daughter, Anne, who was a 19 year old senior at Stanford University was killed in a car accident on January 11, 1944.

Producer Sidney Luft and actress Lynn Bari lost an infant daughter one day after her birth on August 8, 1945. 

Loretta Lynn's son, Jack, drown on December 7, 1949.  He was 34.  Her daughter, Betty Sue, died from emphysema on July 29, 2013.  She was 64.

Bob Mackie's son, Robin, die from AIDS in 1993.  He was 33 years old. 

Michael Madsen's son, Hudson, died by suicide from a self-inflicted gun shot wound on January 25, 2022. He was 26 years old. 

Nelson Mandela's daughter, Makaziwe, born in 1947 died at nine months old. His oldest son, Madiba, (1945-1969) died in a car crash.  His son, Makgatho, died on January 6, 2005 from AIDS. He was 54. 

Mickey Mantle's son, Billy, died from heart failure due to substance abuse on March 12, 1994.  He was 36 years old.  Mantle died the next year. 

Dean Martin's son, Dean Jr. died in a plane crash on March 21, 1987.  He was 35.

Cartoonist Bill Mauldin's daughter, Kaja, died from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2001.  He died two years later.

Frank McGlynn Sr.'s son, Frank Jr. died on March 29, 1939 from tuberculous.  He was 34 years old.

John McIntire and Jeanette Nolan's son, Timothy, died on April 15, 1986 from heart failure.  He was 41 years old.

Ed McMahon's son, Michael, died of liver cancer on July 28, 1995.  He was 44. 

Ethel Merman's daughter, Ethel, died from a drug overdose in 1967.

Dina Merrill's daughter, Heather Robertson, died on April 29, 2007 from liver failure brought on by Hepatitis C.  She was 38 years old.  Merrill's son, David Rumbough, died on September 8, 1973 in a boating accident.  He was 23 years old.

While pregnant, actress, Ann Miller, was thrown down the stairs by her husband during a fight.  This caused her to go into early labor and give birth.  The baby, she named, Mary, died three hours later on November 12, 1946.  She filed for divorce shortly after.  This was her only child.

Skiing Olympian, Bode Miller's 19 month baby girl, Emeline, drowned in the neighbor's pool on June 10, 2018. 

Bob Monkhouse's son Gary was born with cereal palsy and died at age 40 in 1992.  In 2001 Bob's other son Simon, died of a heroin overdose in Thailand.  He was 46 years old. 

Robert Montgomery's daughter Martha Bryan died from spinal meningitis at 14 months old. 

Clement Clarke Moore had one daughter named Emily who died at six years old in 1828 and a daughter Charity who died at age 14 in 1830. 

Mary Tyler Moore's son, Richard, died from a self-inflicted gunshot on October 14, 1980.  He was 24.

Harry Morgan's son, Daniel, died in 1989.  He was 43 years old. 

Elon Musk's 10 week old son, Nevada, died from SIDS on May 28, 2002.

Patricia Neal's and Roald Dahl's daughter, Olivia, died from measles on November 17, 1962.  She was seven.

Sesame Street puppeteer Jerry Nelson's daughter, Christine, was born on August 14, 1961.  She died from cystic fibrosis on September 4, 1982.  She was 21 years old.  This was his only child.

Willie Nelson's son Willie "Billy" Jr. hung himself on December 24, 1991.  He was 33 years old. 

Pablo Neruda's only child, Malva, died from hydrocephalus at age eight in 1942. 

Paul Newman's son, Scott, died from a drug overdose in 1978.  He was 28.

 Brendan O'Carroll's first son, Brendan Jr. died from spinal bifida on February 26, 1976.  He was three days old. 

Carroll O'Connor's son, Hugh, shot himself on March 28, 1995.  He was 32.

Sinead O'Connor's son Shane, committed suicide in January of 2022.  He was 17 years old. 

Eugene O'Neill's son, Eugene Jr. committed suicide by slicing his wrists on September 25, 1950.  He was 40.

Maureen O'Sullivan and John Farrow's son, Michael, died in a plane crash on October 30, 1958.  He was 19 years old.  (Mia Farrow's brother.)

Aristotle Onassis' only son, Alexander, died in a plane crash on January 23, 1973.  He was 24 years old. 

Roy Orbison's two sons Roy Jr. and Anthony, died together in a house fire on September 15, 1968.  They were ten and eight.

Marie Osmond's son, Michael, committed suicide on February 26, 2010. He was 18.

Writer Francine Pascal's oldest daughter, Jamie, died on February 22, 2008 from liver disease.

Joanna Pettet's only child, son Damien, died from a heroin overdose on July 7, 1995.  He was 26 years old.

Priscilla Presley's daughter with Elvis, Lisa Marie, died on January 12, 2023 from a small bowel obstruction.  She was 54 years old.

Talk show host, Sally Jessy Raphael's daughter, Allison, died from an overdose on February 2, 1992.  She was 33.

Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman had a daughter named, Christine, that lived only nine hours on June 26, 1947.  Their second daughter, Maureen, died from skin cancer on August 8, 2001.  She was 60.

Robert Redford's first son, Scott, died from SIDS shortly after being born in 1959.

Vanessa Redgrave's daughter actress, Natasha Richardson, died from a skiing accident on March 18, 2009.  She was 45.

Actress Della Reese's daughter, Deloreese, died March 14, 2002 from pituitary disease.  She was 40.

Keanu Reeves' girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, gave birth to their stillborn child, Ava, at 8 months in 1999.  This was Reeves' only child.

Debbie Reynold's only daughter, actress, Carrie Fisher, died from a heart attack on December 27, 2016.  She was 60. Upon hearing the news Reynold's suffered a stroke and died the next day on December 28, 2016.  Her final words to her son Todd were "I'm going to be with Carrie".

Don Rickles' only son, Larry Rickles, died of pneumonia on December 3, 2011.  He was 41 years old.

Actor Hal Roach's daughter, Margaret, died in 1964 at age 43.  His son, Hal Jr. died from pneumonia on March 29, 1972.  He was 53.

Actor Pernell Roberts' only son, Jonathan, died in a motorcycle accident in 1989.  He was 38.

John D. Rockefeller's daughter, Alice, died on August 20, 1870. She was one. His daughter, Elizabeth, died on November 14, 1906. She was 40.  His daughter, Edith, died from breast cancer on August 25, 1932.  She was 59.

David Rockefeller's son, Richard, died in a plane crash on June 13, 2014. He was 65 years old. It was a day after the 99th birthday celebration of his father. His father died at age 101.

Nelson Rockefeller's son, Michael, disappeared in New Guinea in 1961.  He was believed to have drowned or was murdered.  It still remains a mystery.  He was 23.

Roy Roger's daughter, Robin, was born with a heart defect and died just a few days before her second birthday in 1952.  He also had a 12 year old daughter, Debbie, who died in a bus accident in August 1964.  His 18 year old son, John, chocked to death in November 1965.

Will Roger's son, Fred, died from diphtheria in 1920.  He was two.

Mary Shelley had a daughter, Clara, that died on September 24, 1817. She was less than a month old.  She had a 2 1/2 year old son, William, who died on June 7, 1818. 

Sylvia Sidney's only child, a son, Jacob, died from A.L.S (Lou Gehrig's disease) in 1987.  He was 48.  

Shel Silverstein's daughter, Shoshanna, died on April 24, 1982 from a cerebral aneurysm.  She was 11. 

Red Skelton and Georgina Davis' son Richard died from leukemia on May 10, 1958.  He was nine years old.  Davis committed suicide on the day her son died 18 years later.  

Anna Nicole Smith's son, Daniel, died from an overdose on September 10, 2006. He was 20.  Smith also died from a drug overdose six months later. She was 39. 

Director Zack Snyder's daughter, Autumn, committed suicide on March 12, 2017.  She was 20 years old.

Son, Alexei died from quinsy in 1886 at age four.  His son, Ivan, died from scarlet fever in 1895 at age seven.  His daughter, Marya, died from pneumonia in 1906.  She was 37. 

Conductor Arturo Toscanini had a four year old son named Giorgio, who died on June 10, 1906 from diphtheria. 

John Travolta and Kelly Preston's autistic son, Jett, died from a fatal seizure on January 2, 2009.  He was 16.

Tina Turner's son Craig died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on July 3, 2018 at age 59.  Her son Ronnie Turner died from colon cancer on December 8, 2022 at age 62. 

Mark Twain's son, Langdon, died on November 7, 1870 from diphtheria.  He was 19 months old.  His daughter, Susy, died on August 18, 1896 from spinal meningitis.  She was 24.  His daughter, Jean, had epilepsy and died from drowning in a tub after having a seizure on Christmas Eve in 1909.  She was 29.  

Mike Tyson's daughter, Exodus, died from an accidental strangulation on May 26, 2009.  She was four.

Actress Vera-Ellen had one child, a girl named Victoria.  She died from SIDS at three months old on June 20, 1963. 

Fritz Von Erich had six sons, five died before him.  His son Jack died at age six on March 7, 1959 after being electrocuted.  His son David died from a ruptured intestine on February 10, 1984.  He was 25 years old.  His son Michael died from a pill overdose on April 12, 1987.  He was 23 years old.  His son Christopher shot himself on September 12, 1991.  He was 21 years old.  His son Kerry also died from a self inflicted gunshot on February 18, 1993.  He was 33 years old.  Very tragic family.

William Winchester lost his 6 weeks old daughter, Annie, on July 25, 1866. This was his only child.

Oprah Winfrey gave birth at age fourteen to a son, Canaan, probably in 1968.  He died shortly after.  This child was a result of rape and was very traumatic to her.  This was her only child.  

Victor Wong's son, Lyon, died in a street fight in 1986.  He was 22 years old.

Lana Wood's daughter Evan died of a heart attack on July 18, 2017.  She was 42 years old. 

Herman Wouk's son, Abraham, died in a car accident in 1951.  He was five.

Celebrities Who Died Before the Film was Complete

Here's a list of actors who died before filming had wrapped:


Philip Seymour Hoffman died from a heroin overdose while still filming "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2". No talk yet on what they will do about his final scenes. He was 46.

Oliver Reed drank himself to death while filming "Gladiator". The film spent millions to digitally recreate his image for his final scenes. He was also signed on to star in "My Uncle Silas"at the time of his death.  Albert Finney took his place. Reed was 61.

Brandon Lee was accidentally shot on the set of "The Crow". The film had to both digitally recreate Lee's face and also use a body double to complete the film after his death. He was 28.

John Candy died of a heart attack while filming "Wagons East". The few scenes left to film with Candy were either cut or used earlier footage of him. The film was a flop. He was 43.

Heath Ledger died from a drug overdose while still filming "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus".  The film was postponed for a few months after his death so the writers could do a rewrite.  The film was finally completed using Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell as replacements for Ledger.  Do to the dream-like nature of this film the concept worked.  Ledger would win an oscar posthumously for "The Dark Knight." He was 28.

River Phoenix died from a drug overdose on Halloween night while filming "Dark Blood". The film was later abandoned due to his death.  Phoenix was also was signed on to be the interviewer in "Interview With the Vampire." Christian Slater took his part and donated all of the money.  Phoenix was 23.

Aaliyah died in a plane crash while still working on "Queen of the Damned".  She also was signed on to star in "The Matrix: Reloaded".  She was 22.

Jean Harlow died from kidney failure with just one week's worth left of shooting of her final film "Saratoga", her stand-in replaced her in her final scenes. Her final film was the highest grossing film of 1937.

Donald Pleasance died while filming his final movie "Halloween 6".  Most of his scenes were cut and his role was made into a much smaller part. The movie is dedicated to him. He was  75.

Heather O'Rourke died while still filming her last film "Poltergeist 3".  She had been suffering from a blocked intestine but was misdiagnosed with Crohn's disease.  She was given cortisone which made her swell which was obvious in her drastic appearance from the "Poltergeist" sequel to her final film "Poltergeist 3".  Before doctors could properly diagnose her she died from septic shock.  Her family would later win a law suit against the hospital.  Her final scenes in the movie were filmed with a stand-in.  Her co-star Tom Skerritt was a pallbearer.  She was 12 years old.

Robert Shaw was in the middle of filming "Avalanche Express" when he died of a heart attack at age 51. Shaw's health was failing and his voice was so low at the time that the film company hired two men to dub over Shaw's lines. In the long run the movie ended up being a flop.

Natalie Wood died before finishing her work on her final film "Brainstorm".  The producers wanted to cancel the film following her death and claim the insurance money but the director persuade the film and shot the ending with a stand-in.  The film was dedicated to her.  She was 43.

Tyrone Power died from a heart attack while shooting a fencing scene for the film "Solomon and Sheba".  They reshot the movie with Yul Brynner.  Power was 44 years old.

Bela Lugosi died while filming the failed movie "Plan 9 from Outer Space."  He was replaced by the director's chiropractor. Lugosi was 73.

Vic Morrow was killed on set of the movie "Twilight Zone: The Movie".  He was shooting a scene with a helicopter when it lost control and decapitated him.  Morrow was 53.  Director John Landis was accused of manslaughter.  He was later found not guilty.

Roy Kinnear died after falling off a horse while filming a scene for his final film "Return of the Three Musketeers".  The film was finished using a body double. Richard Chamberline quit the film due to the producers' lack of reaction over Kinnear death.  Kinnear was 54.

Frank Morgan died of a heart attack just days into filming his final movie "Annie Get Your Gun." He was replaced by another actor. Morgan was 59.

Marilyn Monroe was in the middle of filming her final movie "Something's Gotta Give" when she was found dead from a drug overdose.  She was 36.  The movie was eventually scrapped.

William Hickey died during the filming of "Better Than Ever."  His role was replaced by the producer in final scenes.  Three final movies were released after his death including "Mousehunt" which is dedicated to him.  He was 69.

Paul Walker died in a car crash before he finished filming "Fast and the Furious 7". He was 40.

John Cazale was already dying from bone cancer when he began filming "The Deer Hunter".  He was able to wrap all his screens but died before the film was complete.  He was 42.

David Dukes died from a heart attack while in the middle of filming "Red Rose".  He was 55 years old.


Died before their last film was released:


James Dean died in a car accident before "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Giant" were released.  He would be posthumously nominated for both "East of Eden" and "Giant". He was 24.

Massimo Troisi died 12 days after finishing "Il Postino". He would be posthumously nominated for his role. He was 41.

Spencer Tracy died 17 days after filming wrapped on "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?". He would be posthumously nominated for his role in it. He was 67.

Andre the Giant died shortly after he finished his last film "Trading Mom." He had a heart attack while attending his father's funeral. He was 46.

Rick Aviles died from AIDS (due to a heroin addiction) four months before the release of his last movie "Waterworld". He was 42.

Richard Burton died four months before the release of his last film "1984". He was 58.

Lou Costello died five months before the release of his last film "The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock." He was 52.

Michael Clarke Duncan died from a heart attack before the release of his final four films "In the Hive," "Resurrection," "From the Rough" and "The Challenger".  He was 54.

Errol Flynn died two months before the release of his last film "Cuban Rebel Girls". The film bombed. He was 50.

Clark Gable died three months before the release of his final film "The Misfits".  He was 59.

James Gandolfini died three months before the release of his last films "Enough Said" and "Animal Rescue." "Enough Said" is dedicated to him.  He was vacationing in Rome with his teenage son at the time of his death. He was 51.

Raul Julia died from a stroke two months before his final film "Street Fighter" was released.  The film is dedicated to him.  He was set to play Bucho in "Desperado" but was replaced by Joaquim de Almeida after his death.  Julia won a Golden Globe posthumously for his work in "The Burning Season". He was 54.

Carole Lombard died in a plane crash two months before the release of her final film "To Be or Not To Be".  Before the film was released they cut her line in which her character said "What can happen in a plane?" She was 33.

Bernie Mac died from pneumonia before the release of his last three films "Old Dogs," "Madagascar 2" and "Soul Man." Both Madagascar and Soul Man are dedicated to him. He was 50.

Pat Morita died before the release of his final four films.  He was 73.

John Ritter died from a heart attack two months before the release of his final movie "Bad Santa." The film is dedicated to him. He was 54.

Patrick Swayze died from pancreatic cancer one month before the release of his final film "Powder Blue".  He was 57.

Rudolph Valentino died from blood poisoning two weeks before the release of his final film "Son of the Sheik".  He was 31.

Sharon Tate was murdered by the Manson followers before the release of her final film "12 plus one".  She was pregnant with her husband, Roman Polanski's son at the time she was stabbed to death. Polanski's movie "Tess" is dedicated to Sharon.  She was 26.

Peter Fonda died from lung cancer on August 16, 2019.  His last film "The Last Full Measure" was released on October 25, 2019.
