What I Would Have Changed About This Movie...

Here is a list of changes I would have made to these particular movies which I think would have made them better films....

I may be a sucker for happy endings but I hate leaving a theater feeling depressed or like I just wasted my time.  That's why I love Quentin Tarantino movies because he always writes a script with a beginning, middle and an end.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT:

The Adjustment Bureau: I would have made the ending more serious.

American Beauty: I would not have had Chris Cooper's character seem gay in the end.  It made no sense.  He should have shot Spacey because Cooper thought he was taking advantage of his son.

American Hustle: I would have made the script less complicated towards the end.

Angela's Ashes: a book is a book and a movie a movie.  You can't literally put a book on film.  I would have changed the dialogue of the screenplay.  It literally was line for line from the book and fell flat.

Apocalypse Now: movie needed to be shortened.

Bambi: As anyone would agree with me...the film would have been better if the mother deer didn't get shot!  Made the film way too serious for children.

Barry Lyndon: This is a 3 hour movie of pure frustration.  I would have had Lord Bullingdon shoot and kill Barry Lyndon.  He deserved it.

Birdman: I would have had him been successful or killing himself on stage.

Bronx Tale: the black Actress's acting in this movie was soooo painful.  I would had replaced her for someone with some talent.

Castaway: Helen Hunt should have been single when Hanks returned.

City of Angels: would not have had Meg Ryan die. Ruined movie and made it pointless.

Crazy Heart: the ending was a major disappointment and a waste of my time.  Bridges and Gyllenhaal should have ended up together.

500 Days of Summer:  I just wish it had a better ending.  It was a let down.

Forrest Gump: I wish they explained how Forrest didn't get AIDS from Jenny.

Hide and Seek: I would not have had De Niro as the bad guy twist ending....it was just lame.

I Do Not Feel at Home In This World Anymore: damn, this movie started so good and had great actors but the ending got way to crazy and out of control. I would have made a more toned down and simpler ending.  Not the big shoot out. Not very realistic.

I Lost My Body: I would have explained the ending more.  Did he kill himself? or Does he end up with the girl?

The Interpreter: I would not have had Nicole Kidman be the "bad guy".  It was so ridiculous.

Junebug: after Amy Adams loses her baby I would have had her leave her husband.  He was a miserable bastard.

King Kong: (2005) Should have eliminated the T-Rex fight scene.  That just made no sense.

Lincoln: I would have included his assassination on-screen.  The ending didn't help an already boring film.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: I would have shortened the endings....

My Best Friend's Wedding: something about the ending just bothered me..it didn't make the film seem complete.

Parents: I wish at the very end the plate the grandma puts on the boy's beside table had cookies on it, not more meat.

No Country For Old Men: I would not have had Josh Brolin killed offscreen.  He was the damn main character.

Pearl Harbor: I would have edited out the melodramatic love story and just focus on the attacks.  The action scenes in that movie were very good but the back story stunk.

Premonition: I would have had Sandra Bullock save her husband's life...anything else made this movie pointless.

Reds: the movie just ended with Warren Beatty's character John Reed just dead in bed...roll credits...like this was a movie about Warren Beatty?? there was no closure.  What happened to his wife Louise? Beatty should have printed on the screen at the film's closing:  "John Reed died of typhus on Oct. 17, 1920.  He was 32 years old.  He is only one of three Americans buried at the Kremlin Wall Necropolis.  Louise Bryant died in France in 1935 at the age of 50.

Serious Man: the ending....what the hell? Coen brothers...you're better than this....than again "Barton Fink".??

The Shining: I would have ended it the way the book did in which due to Jack ignoring his work responsibilities the hotel's furnace overheats and blows up the hotel.  Jack is killed in the explosion.

Spanglish: I would have had Adam Sandler end up with the Spanish mom since Tea Leoni was a nut job and a cheater.

The Station Agent:  I would have extended the movie and wrapped things up more.  The ending seemed very abrupt.

This Must Be the Place: I found Sean Penn's fake voice so irritating I couldn't enjoy the movie.

Titanic: the whole ship was falling apart I think Leo could have found another "door" to lay on.

Unhook the Stars: I would have shown in the airport that she was heading to Miami. (hate cliff hangers)

WWZ:  I would have cut out scenes from the middle and extended the ending to show how we spread the vaccine.

The Way Way Back: I would have had Toni Collette leave her boyfriend.  He was a self-centered bastard.  Movies that have weak female characters in it disturb me.

Yentl:  I would have had Barbra Streisand end up with Mandy Patinkin.

Philip Seymour Hoffman Dies

This will never be fair.  This will never make sense. 1967-2014
